Meditation Room
Our minds never stop thinking. Even as we sleep, we dream and process
information. Whenever you are compulsively thinking too much, you are not present.
Meditation is simply a technique that brings our minds to rest for awhile. It allows the mind, emotions, and body to un-stress, re-balance and
reset. Stress works to block the flow of energy in our body. Once stress is released, the energy begins to flow again in a more natural and
healthy way.
The purpose of meditation is to get in touch with Consciousness. Since our attention is mainly outward, we have lost our connection with the
Source. Basking in the silence clears our awareness and rekindles the connection with our true Self.
Simply taking the time to be alone and enjoy silence, can stimulate our imagination, intuition, and creativity.
Each second counts. And we have a finite number of them. Wake up to the excruciatingly beautiful notion that we are alive. Learn
to appreciate. Eat more mindfully. Walk more mindfully. Be here now.
The great spiritual teacher, Paramahansa Yogananda taught his students the need for direct experience of truth, opposed to blind
belief. He said, "The true basis of religion is not belief, but intuitive experience.Intuition is the soul's power of knowing God. To know
what religion is really all about, one must know God."Knowing yourself is the key to understanding God because God is within.
There is only one Truth, just many pathways to the Source. At the deepest level of Being, you are one with all that is.
Meditation is easy and enjoyable. Repeating, chanting and singing affirmation music can also be extremely
beneficial! Try it for a few months and see for yourself. You will enjoy a new appreciation for life!
